Alsterån

Route - Ålem´s parish - River estuary in Pataholm The river Alsterån offers an unforgettable canoe trip through beautiful nature. Put-in in Ålem´s parish, Åvallsvägen.
After 3 km you will come to Strömsrum, light rapids after the bridge, take the large furrow to the left, then to the left again and then to the right.
Landings should be avoided since a large portion of the route goes through private property.
Total paddling distance: approx. 5 km
Drop: approx. 3 m
Paddling time: The low water level during the height of the summer can make paddling difficult in certain places.
Take-out: None
Service: There are stores and telephones in Timmernabben and Ålem.
