Guided tours of the town

During the summer, Vimmerby Tourist Office arranges guided tours on Wednesday evenings. During the 1.5 hour stroll you will learn a lot about the history of Vimmerby and perhaps about what it was that inspired Astrid Lindgren when she was growing up in Vimmerby.

The tours start from Vimmerby Tourist Office located in the main square (Stora Torget).

Booking a guide

Do you need to book a guide some other time of the year or for larger groups? Guides and sightseeing bus tours can be booked through Vimmerby Tourist Office.
Experienced guides can be booked for shorter and longer tours. We arrange an appropriate programme that exactly matches your needs.
A popular theme is “A sightseeing tour following Astrid Lindgren’s footsteps”. In addition to Swedish-speaking guides you can also book guided tours in English or German.
