The Kingdom of Arts and Crafts
The Kingdom of Arts and Crafts in Torsås Municipality is based on old traditions from the turn of the century - a way to increase the household income in addition to small farming. The winter months were primarily devoted to making handicrafts that were sold during the rest of the year. Today there are approximately twenty craftsmen that welcome visitors to their workshops and stores.
You can also visit Slöjdhuset in Torsås where local craftsmen display their wide assortment of crafts and a large number of craft techniques (wood, textiles, birch bark, wool, ceramics).
