The coast and archipelago, with its islets, skerries and over 10,000 islands, is incredibly beautiful.

If you are looking for freedom along the sea, it’s easy to go far out in the outer archipelago, even by car or bike. Take an archipelago trip to the islands or take the car ferry M/S Solsund, which operates the Oskarshamn-Byxelkrok route during the summer.

You have wonderful opportunities for sun and swimming. You will find fantastic sandy beaches and sun-drenched rocks in quiet secluded spots, as well as popular bathing spots with full service. The towns Västervik, Oskarshamn, Mönsterås and Kalmar are located along the coast and offer a wide selection of shopping and outdoor cafés.
